The plant, founded in 1938, produced Ford cars and trucks until 1954, when it was bought by Simca. It then passed into the hands of Chrysler and finally, in 1978, to Peugeot to produce the Talbot, among other models. Today, the Poissy plant employs more than 5,000 people for 230,000 vehicles a year, city cars and compact cars including the DS3, the 208 and the Citroën C3. Up to 1,920 vehicles are produced on 86 hectares of land!
