Medieval castle classified as a Historic Monument in 1862, with a high keep and a tower of honor with a palm vault
A witness to the Hundred Years' War, Château de Rauzan was twice taken by the French, including Bertrand du Guesclin in 1377. Classified in 1862 by the Monuments Historiques, it was not until the 1970s that the commune, owner since 1900, and a handful of enthusiasts began restoration work. After climbing the 31-meter-high keep, you can admire the palm tree vault of its tower of honor. Guided tours on reservation.

Très bon accueil ! Grand-mère accompagnée de trois petits et jeunes enfants, 4, 6 et 10 ans . Tout le monde y a trouvé son compte avec les chasses au trésor à énigmes et le trésor gourmand.Les beaux vestiges du château sont très parlants : l'Histoire est là qui prend vie pour les apprentis ! Merci.

Certes partiellement en ruine, ce qui n'empêche pas que cette visite est très intéressante.

Nous sommes venus avec un centre de loisirs et malheureusement, il pleuvait ce jour là mais les filles nous ont trouvé un petit endroit pour manger au sec. Très bon accueil, visite du château super bien géré et chasse au trésor au top !

Visite guidée très agréable et documentée qui compense largement les caractéristiques d'un château peu rénové.
