On the island: Exhibition park and bird sanctuary, with animals, natural areas and environmental education.

Located between Limay and Mantes-la-Jolie, downstream from Île aux Dames, Île l'Aumône is 2 km long. It is divided into two parts: the 8-hectare Mantes-la-Jolie Exhibition Centre upstream, and a bird sanctuary downstream. Here, Camargue horses and Scottish Highland cows maintain the natural spaces. Open to the public, it's a peaceful place where it's good to wander between the different areas: meadows, wetlands (pond, observatory pond and educational pool), fallow land, country hedges and forest.
