Castle classified as a historical monument, with a visit to the museum, the botanical garden, the Masonic temple and wine tasting.

A superb Louis XV residence, this listed château was built in 1736 by the architect Le Herissey. Jean-Jacques Rousseau stayed here, and it is to him that we owe the inspiration for today's botanical garden, which boasts over a thousand plant varieties. Another writer to have left her mark on the place is Florence Mothe, who owns the estate and has chosen to open it to the public. A rarity? Its 1738 Masonic temple, complete with period ritual equipment. The guided tour concludes with a tasting of the estate's wines.
