Originally an invisible troglodyte construction, this castle protected against Norman incursions
Originally an invisible troglodyte construction, the castle protected against Norman incursions. Until the end of the Hundred Years' War, it was a base for the defense of the kingdom. One reaches its top by a staircase dug in the rock. It was then transformed into a holiday resort. Later, Rommel established a headquarters there. Seduced by the atmosphere that emanates from the place, Jacobs chose it as the setting for a Blake and Mortimer: The Devil's Trap, to be read before or after the visit!

After surveyed many steps, you will discover a splendid view overlooking the plain. I spent a pleasant moment far from the noise of the capital. A small flat as for the state of the castle that could do with a little renovation.
