On the small square in the hamlet of Bages, the warm and friendly Café Lavinal serves traditional, tasty market cuisine, made with local, seasonal produce. You'll fall under the spell of its zinc and red 1930s-style banquettes, which give it the air of a bistro from yesteryear, attracting locals, tourists and winegrowers alike. High season: open daily for lunch and dinner. Variable opening times the rest of the year (see website). Annual closure from mid-December to February. Reservations recommended. Menus from €29 to €45. Owner's Message
Opened in 2006, in the center of the village of Bages, the Café Lavinal takes its name from
Berthe Lavinal, the grandmother of Jean-Michel Cazes.
A wink to the vacations of his childhood spent in the small country café of his parents near Villeneuve-sur-Lot.
Adjacent to the Château Lynch-Bages, the Café Lavinal is a privileged place where the wine growers and the local clientele like to meet to share a generous cuisine in the heart of the terroir of the Grands Crus Classés of Pauillac.
Warm and friendly, our restaurant is open for lunches, aperitifs and dinners. We offer traditional and tasty market cuisine, prepared with local products.
During the summer season, our sunny terrace is appreciated for its view and its location.
The wine list presents more than 220 references of wines from Bordeaux and elsewhere.
The Enoline wine by the glass service allows you to discover up to 8 red wines (in 2cl, 6cl or 12cl)
