Forge to visit during the European Heritage Days, emblematic of the trades of yesteryear practiced in Herblay-sur-Seine.
It's a piece of Herblay's heritage, and well worth a visit if you're passing through! The Forge Cotrel is emblematic of the traditional trades practiced in the commune. After decades of operation, it closed in 1998. Its activities ranged from horse shoeing to the repair of industrial tools, all run by the family of the same name. Today, it only comes back to life during the European Heritage Days, with various demonstrations of the blacksmith's trade.
