GLACIERE DU PARC CADET DE VAUX
Discovered in 1965, this egg-shaped stone cooler is three-quarters buried and topped by a mound of earth
Discovered in 1965, this ice house, along with the park and château, has been classified as a "Heritage of Regional Interest" by the Île-de-France region since 2023. Estimated to date back to the 16th century, it bears witness to remarkable ingenuity for its time. Built of stone in the shape of an egg, it is three-quarters buried and topped by a mound of earth. There are two entrances, one for filling, the other for extracting ice.
