A 35-hectare historic garden still cultivated with trees that used to produce fruit with a flavor unique to Montreuil.
The site is a direct descendant of a very distant past, dating back to the 16th century. Installed along lime-covered walls to allow the sun to shine, these trees produced fruit with a unique flavor. Part of this heritage has been preserved, and is managed by a dynamic association. On Sunday afternoons, the site opens its doors to visitors to discover the 35 hectares still under cultivation. And don't forget to visit Patrick and Geneviève Fontaine's extraordinary remarkable garden, based on the theme of these walls.
