The world's oldest aeronautical museum, located at Le Bourget! The latest addition is the Simupilote, where you can try your hand at flying!

Founded in 1919, it is the oldest aeronautical museum in the world and one of the most prestigious. Established on the site of Le Bourget airport in 1975, its collections have been enriched over the years, and now encompass the entire history of French and international aeronautics. From the historic terminal - recently renovated with great pomp and splendor - to the tarmac, many aircraft are assembled here, including the first flying machines of the late 19th century, space capsules, military aircraft and helicopters. Among the emblematic pieces, the Concorde holds a special place: the first commercial supersonic still drawing crowds. Other giants include the Boeing 747, open to visitors, and the A380, which naturally found its place here. Regular exhibitions are also organized. And to help younger visitors make the most of the premises in a fun way, the museum has set up an edutainment area, "Planète Pilote", dedicated to 6-12 year-olds. By putting yourself in the shoes of a pilot or astronaut, your little ones will gain a better understanding of the various physical mechanisms of flight and propulsion. Finally, the planetarium invites you to travel among the stars: from the comfort of your seat, discover the fabulous mysteries of our universe. The museum's latest addition: Simupilote! Located in the Prototype Hall, this animation, open since February 18, invites you to try your hand at flying a Cessna aircraft. These double simulation stations, which can accommodate two people, each have 3 screens, and are animated by a mediator, who will guide you through your true-to-life experiment, which will take you from Le Bourget to Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airports. This immersive experience will introduce you to the use of the instruments. The 10 stations are open to schoolchildren on weekdays only, and to the general public at weekends and during school vacations. Finally, it's impossible to talk about the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace without mentioning the highlights of the year: the Salon International de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace, held here every two years in June, and Ciné Tarmac in summer, when you can attend a screening using the fuselage of a 747 as a projection screen. Temporary exhibitions - "Flight", until 2025, which looks at the diversity of flying creations, for example - are also on offer.

Espace enfant cher et decevant. Moins de la moitié des expériences fonctionnent.
Le reste de l'exposition est de grande qualité.

A very nice museum. You can find the first airplanes as demoiselle by Santos-Dumont as well as the main innovations of the recent past such as the Concorde and the giant Boeing 747, as well as space creations such as rockets and satellites.
