BLACK PRINCE'S CASTLE
Castle also called castle of Lormont, renovated by a real estate developer and houses one of the famous restaurants in Lormont
Long abandoned, the Château de Lormont has been reborn thanks to property developer Norbert Fradin. The elegant silhouette of this historic site catches the eye as you cross the Pont d'Aquitaine. Formerly the Palais des Archevêques, the château takes its nickname from Edward de Woodstock, known as "the Black Prince". First owned by the Dukes of Aquitaine, then by the Crown of England until 1453, it is now an emblematic site that is home to the liberal professions, a branch of the Cours Florent and a renowned restaurant.
