This four-hundred-seat venue has been in existence since 1911. Originally named the Théâtre Albert-Ier, its current name derives from the fact that the venue was directed by playwright Tristan Bernard in the 1930s. It adopted the patronymic of actor Charles de Rochefort when, on the eve of the Second World War, he took over the direction of the theatre, presenting plays with detective mysteries. Over the past twenty years, the Théâtre Tristan-Bernard has enjoyed great success, and its current productions are no exception.
