Bought by Francis Nani, CEO of the Palais du Palais Royal, he began his new life, ready to make discovery, surprise and seduce, particularly with the boulevard comedy that made the reputation of the place. For more than 100 years, laughter has been resounding in this theater of 350 seats! During its existence, Théâtre Michel has never deviated from its original vocation: Entertain the public and highlight new talent. A challenge he is always prepared to face!
THÉÂTRE DE LA MADELEINE
Read moreIt's a superb Italian-style theatre with 730 seats. The Théâtre de la Madeleine has a remarkable elegance. It was built in 1924 on the site of a horse riding arena. Sacha Guitry staged many plays here in the 1930s and 1940s, including "N'écoutez pas, Mesdames", as did André Roussin in later decades. Acting couple Simone Valère and Jean Desailly have directed the company. In recent years, Audrey Tautou, Eddy Mitchell and Roschdy Zem have enjoyed great success.

Originally named the Théâtre Albert-Ier, its current name derives from the fact that the venue was directed by playwright Tristan Bernard in the 1930s. It adopted the patronymic of actor Charles de Rochefort when, on the eve of the Second World War, he took over the direction of the theater, presenting plays with detective mysteries. Over the past twenty years, the Théâtre Tristan-Bernard has enjoyed great success, and its current productions are no exception.
THÉÂTRE DES MATHURINS
Read moreThis centenary room has undergone countless transformations. In 1893 is open here a large living room that is quickly transformed into theatre. It really was born in 1898, but only took its current name in 1912. Work is ongoing. Sacha Guitry made her debut at the Mathurins theatre in 1905 with Nono. He remains faithful to this room for fifteen years. Georges and Ludmilla Pitoëff then printed their mark in the history of the Mathurins where they climbed pieces of George-Bernard Shaw, Luigi Pirandello, Jean Anouilh, among others. In 1953 the theatre is run by Rika Radifé alias Radifé Behar. Pirandello, John Osborne, Marguerite Duras, Camus, Sartre, Anouilh are some of the authors here until 1981. The directions that follow continue the path mapped out by their predecessors. Some names that then appeared on the theatre posters: Milan Kundera, Vaclav Havel, Jean-Claude Brisville, Jean-Pierre Bacri - authors - Georges Wilson, Stefan Meldegg - directors-in-stage - Daniel Gélin, Patrick Chesnais - actors… Two memorable shows among so many: The Woman sitting, from Copi with Marilu Marini, staged by Alfredo Arias, and Les Palmes by Jean-Noël Fenwick, Jean-Noël Fenwick. Then director of the Mathurins, Gérard Caillaux aménager a new-seat room with a fireplace. Today, this theatre is led by the trio Engelberg, Colla and Setbon.
THÉÂTRE DE LA CONCORDE
Read moreThe location is well known: situated in the lower part of the Champs-Elysées, it was the Espace Cardin from 1970 to 2016, then home to the Théâtre de la Ville until 2023, while the latter underwent renovation work. It is now the Théâtre de la Concorde. The aim of this new venue is to be a space for artistic creation, reflection and debate, to question the world today. To achieve this, the infrastructure is not lacking in scope: in addition to the 650-seat auditorium, the venue boasts a 150-seat studio, as well as a film club.
