This centenary room has undergone countless transformations. In 1893 is open here a large living room that is quickly transformed into theatre. It really was born in 1898, but only took its current name in 1912. Work is ongoing. Sacha Guitry made her debut at the Mathurins theatre in 1905 with Nono. He remains faithful to this room for fifteen years. Georges and Ludmilla Pitoëff then printed their mark in the history of the Mathurins where they climbed pieces of George-Bernard Shaw, Luigi Pirandello, Jean Anouilh, among others. In 1953 the theatre is run by Rika Radifé alias Radifé Behar. Pirandello, John Osborne, Marguerite Duras, Camus, Sartre, Anouilh are some of the authors here until 1981. The directions that follow continue the path mapped out by their predecessors. Some names that then appeared on the theatre posters: Milan Kundera, Vaclav Havel, Jean-Claude Brisville, Jean-Pierre Bacri - authors - Georges Wilson, Stefan Meldegg - directors-in-stage - Daniel Gélin, Patrick Chesnais - actors… Two memorable shows among so many: The Woman sitting, from Copi with Marilu Marini, staged by Alfredo Arias, and Les Palmes by Jean-Noël Fenwick, Jean-Noël Fenwick. Then director of the Mathurins, Gérard Caillaux aménager a new-seat room with a fireplace. Today, this theatre is led by the trio Engelberg, Colla and Setbon.

Génial on paye et en plus on nous parle comme des enfants aucune bienveillàce et aucune compréhension mais bon. Pour encaisser le prix des billets pas de soucis.....
