In 1800, Sulpice Debauve who was a pharmacist of Louis XVI and his nephew Antoine Gallais opened a chocolate shop near the Abbay of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. His reputation made him the supplier of the kings Louis XVIII, then Charles X and Louis-Philippe. For more than 200 years, the house has provided the «Great» of this world. The Vivienne Street shop does not have the same past of the one of Saint-Pères Street, but its reputation is identical. The quality and choice of the best cocoa are the priorities, dark chocolate is low sugar and without any additives. Among the house specialties: the pistoles Marie Antoinette. Really delicious.
