A true emblem of Bordeaux, the Canelé is a delicacy that dates from the 16th century. It is a pastry made of flour, eggs, milk, vanilla and rum... at first sight, nothing very extravagant you might say ! However, it is a real challenge, when you try to prepare them yourself, to succeed in the feat of obtaining a soft Canelé inside and crispy outside. Good news, you can put away your silicone molds! It is in the respect of the traditions that the Canelés are made! Big Canelés at 70 centimes each, Lunch Canelés at 50 centimes or Bite-sized Canelés at 40 centimes: the choice is yours, depending on your appetite and, above all, your sweet tooth! You can even be tempted by other specialties such as tourtières or caramels with Canelés chips! If you are not on the spot and you wish to make discover the Canelé to your close relations, know that you can order on line and that you will be delivered under 24 hours! During the holiday season, we recommend that you order from your local store.

These cannelés are the best in Bordeaux and are available in this boutique in the heart of Gare Montparnasse.
The prices offered for these cannelés are very reasonable! 45 centimes for a « bouchée » and 55 centimes for « lunch »!

I recommend the lunches, which have more taste, but the bouchées are also excellent.
Venant de Bordeaux, j'étais très heureux de pouvoir acheter des canelés pour des collègues Parisiens ! Par contre je suis extrêmement déçu de la qualité des canelés, il manque ce côté croustillant qui fait toute la différence ! J’ai demandé un canelé plus «croustillant» mais malheureusement ceux là étaient les plus frais..
Bref, faites quelque chose pour ça svp.
