Read moreEveryone knows the "petite ceinture", opened during the second half of the 19th century, and gradually abandoned as soon as the metro was put into service. And today, several portions of these routes are open to the public, allowing for beautiful walks. For example, a section of the inner ring road in the 15th arrondissement, a 1.3 km walk with a total surface area of 3.5 hectares from Place Balard to Parc André-Citroën, is open, in addition to those in the 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th and 20th arrondissements.
