WAVE IN PARIS

Surfing
5/5
1 review

We never imagined we would be able to surf one day in the heart of the 15th arrondissement, but it is possible: Wave in Paris is an artificial wave 16 meters long and 10 meters wide, in a 1,000 m² center. On an inclined plane, the wave thus created allows children as well as adults to realize bodyboard and flowboard figures. Guaranteed sensations and additional activities, such as the adjoining squash rooms: nothing is missing here. The craze is already there, so think about booking before coming here!

PISCINE KELLER

Swimming pools
4/5
7 reviews

The solarium of this pool is quite limited, being confined to the area around the pools. But we particularly appreciate the vast sliding roof, which bathes the space in light, turning it into an open-air pool in fine weather. No greenery here, but don't worry! Surrounded by the towers of the 15th arrondissement, against a backdrop of blue skies, the setting is original. The youthful, friendly atmosphere also attracts sports enthusiasts. The large pool is Olympic-sized: 50 metres long, by 15 metres. A second 15-meter pool is available for younger children.

Squash court
4/5
1 review

In one of the rooms of the Aquaboulevard complex, which is reminiscent of that of a liner, we discover the 6 courts, traditionally in floor and Plexiglas. If the location is rather minimalist, the club offers all the options of a classic squash club. Service S.O.S partner, teacher on demand for individual courses, possibility for subscribers to integrate club team for competitions etc. Huge advantage of place, club is open 7 j/7 every day of the year, which allows great flexibility for bookings. These can be done by telephone at 01 53 78 15 30, up to 6 days in advance. Also available on site to rent snowshoes for 3 € per hour. Promenade le long de la Petite ceinture

Hiking
3.5/5
2 reviews

Everyone knows the "petite ceinture", opened during the second half of the 19th century, and gradually abandoned as soon as the metro was put into service. And today, several portions of these routes are open to the public, allowing for beautiful walks. For example, a section of the inner ring road in the 15th arrondissement, a 1.3 km walk with a total surface area of 3.5 hectares from Place Balard to Parc André-Citroën, is open, in addition to those in the 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th and 20th arrondissements.

This 14-hectare park, built on part of the site of the Citroën factory and inaugurated in 1992, offers a beautiful view of the Seine. It is punctuated by water games, themed gardens, promenades, a huge lawn and playgrounds for children. A large captive gas balloon takes up to 30 adults and 60 children to a height of 150 m to admire the site. In the middle of these different highly organized spaces, each garden color is associated with a metal, a day of the week, a state of the water and a meaning.

TENNIS ACTION

Tennis court
1/5
1 review

Tennis Action offers formulas for collective tennis courses in Paris and near suburbs. The formula is quite attractive since during the course of the internship, you become a member of the club, the ideal to move between two courses. Young people have access to mini-tennis from the age of 4 (370 to 850 € for a nine month internship with one hour of course per week). An adult wishing to attend a five-month session will pay between € 480 and € 680 depending on the centre he chooses and the number of courses delivered per week. If you're motivated to grab the ball between two courses to take full advantage of the club card's advantages, the formula is rather attractive, and you get the ball right.

LE DOJO DE GRENELLE

Leisure and individual sports

It's very simple, you are here in the largest space dedicated to Europe's martial arts and dance, and certainly the most pleasant with its four large open rooms on the outside. Activities are not limited to martial arts, but the infrastructure of the Grenelle Dojo is ideal for coming alone or as a family to initiate or develop in these disciplines. Beginners can try several activities (there are 24 to be precise) before deciding. Judo, karate, kung-fu, taekwondo, viet-dao, qi gong, taï-chi-chuan are among the best known, but you can also discover the Luta Book, an art course of Brazilian Control, or the Penchak-silat, which originates in Indonesia. If you're going to Paris for a limited period of time and if you're looking for a place to carry on with your favorite discipline, it's surely represented in this dojo.

PARIS AMICALE CAMOU

Volleyball

With its 200 licensees, the Paris Friendly Camou is one of the most important clubs in the capital. It's not surprising, therefore, that their teams flag are among the best teams in the French Volleyball Federation championships. Three teachers are trained by Christophe Radiguet, a former Professional of the Paris University Club (P.U.C.). The club thus has two women's teams in the pre-national and pre-national sectors. Among boys, three teams are present in departmental, pre-national and national 3. Even tough among young people. The club thus aligns men's and women's teams into benjamins, small and cadets in their respective championships. The leisure aspect is not forgotten. Free play sessions take place on Monday evening from 20 a. m. to 22 p. m. on Friday evening from 20 a. m. to 22 p. m. and on Sunday morning from 9 p. m. to 11 p. m. All are found in four different gyms (two in the 15 th, one in the 7 th and one in the 17 th). Thus, whether it be for competition or the simple pleasure of playing, everything is put in place so that everyone can flourish.

KODOKAN PARIS 15 SECTION JUDO

Combat sports and martial arts

Judo is the other side of the Kodokan Paris 15… and may be as famous as the aikido section. Bruno Louis has a double hat of president and teacher (black belt 6 th dan). 130 members are taking part in its courses to follow a classical lesson, that recognised by the French Judo Federation (F.F.J.) but which has the particularity of remaining open to other methods, always in éveil. In this sense, whether it's to practice traditional judo, leisure judo or competition, everything has been studied so that every member finds shoe in his feet. As part of the competition, the club participates in all those set by the League of Paris and the French Championship. The training, for its part, leaves an important place for the randoris, because nothing is worth the practice! Internships are also organized during the year. If you add to this a real atmosphere, this club certainly deserves a detour.

The aikido section of this club affiliated to the FFAAA is run by a trio, the Master Michel Lapierre (5th dan), his acolyte Eléonore Lemaire (4th dan) and his former student Raphael Buc (3rd dan). To boost the classes, the club once a month hosts a interclub, history to exchange techniques and to share moments of fraternity. In the many operations testify that the club organised to help the Japanese… ongoing operations. If not, many courses follow one another throughout the year, enough to improve quickly.

ATT 15

Table tennis ping pong

This is a club that lacks arguments. Its atmosphere, first of all, frankly warm and this, be it during free play hours or during workouts. In addition to the teachers who oversee the sessions, the elders do not hesitate to take time for the least developed advisor. As a result, beginners are never left behind and can make progress outside the course. Collective training takes place on Monday (for adults) and on Wednesdays and Saturdays (for young people aged 7 to 17). On the competition side, four adult teams and four youth teams are involved in the tournaments of the French Federation of Table Tennis (F.F.T.T.). For the little story, the club has a world champion in its ranks. Paul Dutour won the gold medal at the last World Championships of Cardiac Therapists in Gothenburg.
