One of the first châteaux on the Médoc wine route, this family-run estate since 1896 boasts white 18th-century facades, views over the vineyards and a very special old wine storehouse. Rebuilt in the 15th century, the latter is listed as a historic monument for its basement and impressive double vaults. Dame Blanche, the château's dry white wine, takes its name from a regional legend about a Moorish woman married to a young Medoc soldier returning from the Crusades. Prestataires de Mariage, nous avons eu le plaisir d'intervenir au Château du Taillan pour la Mariage de S & JB. Ce lieu enchanteur vous transporte dans un autre temps...Le cadre est à la fois somptueux et grandiose, parfait pour votre cérémonie laïque et votre cocktail. Ses Salles de réception sont atypiques et ajoutent une touche unique à votre événement.

Nous avons participé à une activité Les Clefs de la Cave au Château du Taillan avec notre guide hors-pair Ludivine. Elle est une excellente vulgarisatrice du procédé de production en son entièreté et très sympathique. Elle nous a aussi très bien guidé lors de notre dégustation et pairage des principaux excellents vins produits par le Château. De plus, le Château est facilement accessible par transport en commun de Bordeaux. Visite fortement recommandée!

this chateau i visited in July 2022, very historical in nature. However, the chateau has changed in times and progressed with new equipment to make the vineries. More recently, more white wines were produced than yesteryears.
