Closed - Open to 08h00

A true Bordeaux emblem, the Canelé is a delight that dates back to the 16th century. It is a pastry made from flour, eggs, milk, vanilla and rum... at first glance, nothing exceptional, would you say? And yet, it is a real challenge, when you try to prepare them yourself, to achieve the feat of obtaining a soft Canelé inside and crispy outside. If the real recipe is posted on the site, Le Petit Futé advises you to leave your silicone moulds aside and go to this shop where you will always receive a very warm welcome. Set up along Sautel Boulevard, near the ring road, the shop perpetuates a unique know-how that makes these caramelized cupcakes particularly delicious. Canelés Gros at 70 centimes each, Canelés Lunch at 50 centimes or Canelés Bouchée at 40 centimes: the choice depends on your appetite and especially on your greed! You can even let yourself be tempted by other specialities such as tourtières, caramels with Canelés and the brand new product: the Bordeaux Canelés spread! If you are not there and you want to introduce your friends and family to Canelé, you can order online and you will be delivered within 24 hours! During the festive season we recommend that you place an order with your shop.

JOAN LARTIGAU

Regional grocery Basque specialties

Nothing predestined Joan Lartigau to sell hams and products from the Basque Country, as he was an agricultural engineer by training. What pushed him: his origins in the Landes and Basque Country, his love of good products from the South-West. People come to his store for his Basque and Iberian hams, his charcuterie and his preserves. Joan Lartigau has opened a cellar and a delicatessen section filled with good products: caviar, truffles, porcini mushrooms, foie gras, salmis of pigeon, lamprey or sturgeon à la bordelaise, Basque cakes, ewe's milk cheese.
