This square, made famous by its history, is one of the city’s beating hearts, one of the places to be if you don’t want to miss a thing. In addition to a small covered market, it’s home to one of Rouen’s best-known monuments: the church of Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc, which stands beside the site of the famous pyre that ended La Pucelle’s life. The café terraces are particularly inviting for a drink, as are the restaurants (seafood, Norman or contemporary). It’s a great place to capture the soul of the city.

une grande croix a été érigée sur cette place à l'emplacement du bûcher où Jeanne d'Arc a été brulée. on y voit aussi une église moderne avec de superbes vitraux à
côté des vestiges de l'ancienne église. sans doute l'endroit le plus animé de la ville.

très belle église moderne sur des ruines anciennes qui ont vu jeanne d'Arc , sur son bucher ... le bois s'allie de façon majestueuse pour les gradins d'intérieur. vue sur des vitraux anciens de plusieurs époques, protégées par des vitres blindées qui ne retirent rien aux couleurs et visions des détails, certissage en plombs.
