It was in 1976 that the oldest Jewish building in France was discovered, during the renovation of the courtyard of the Rouen courthouse. Dating from the 12th century, the Sublime House is a Romanesque building that is well worth a visit. It is important to know that the current district of the Palace of Justice was that of the Jewish community in the Middle Ages.
