The Maharaja is the first Indian restaurant in Haute-Normandie, located in the antique area of Antiaires since 1987. Since then, many other establishments have settled in downtown Rouen to present the Indian and Pakistani culinary traditions to the Norman people. Gueguen and his team offer you typical specialties, including Vindaloo lamb (spicy lamb curry), the famous Massala chicken (marinated in different spices, tomato sauce and troubleshooting) and all kinds of fragrant vegetable curry. Accompany all with a naan (traditional bread) with cheese, vegetables or just plain, and you will be delighted!

Le rapport qualité-prix ne convient pas du tout. Les portions sont très petites et donc chères. La nourriture végétarienne est globalement (curry avec accompagnements) plus chère que les currys "normaux". Le goût n'était pas non plus très aromatique, mais il était correct. J'ai pris un pastis à la mangue qui avait plutôt le goût de lait dilué. Goût de mangue et de yaourt à peine présent et globalement plus de glace que de boisson... pour 6,50€ absolument injustifié ! Malheureusement, le pire indien jusqu'à présent. Nous ne pouvons pas le recommander.

Un bon déjeuner, pas aussi chaud que les curries anglais, mais très, très savoureux. Je recommande le cheese naan.

D'accord et pas d'accord avec les commentaires précédents. Pour être juste, le service était amical et bon. Cependant, la nourriture a été très décevante. Le menu, qui comprenait du poulet au curry, se résumait à des morceaux de poulet dans une sauce avec un soupçon de curry. Les portions sont également très petites. En fait, je doute maintenant d'avoir commandé le menu enfant car je m'attendrais à ce qu'un enfant de 5 ans puisse manger confortablement ce qu'on m'a servi. Est-ce que j'y retournerais ? NON !
