The Château d’Eu is a must-see for its rich décor and architecture.

It’s a must-see for the richness of its decor and architecture. Built in the 16th century by the Duc de Guise, enlarged in 1665 by Anne-Marie-Louise d’Orléans, who created the garden, it was refurbished in 1821 by Louis-Philippe d’Orléans. The museum, opened in 1974, tells the story of the château and the town through paintings, tapestries, furniture and objets d’art. The gardens feature a beech tree planted by Catherine de Clèves and Henri de Guise.

Interessante per storia cimeli contenuti. Non è molto ampio, ma ben tenuto. Il prezzo di ingresso è corretto, anzi quasi economico. Il personale e cordiale e premuroso.

Les pièces sont très jolies et j'ai appris beaucoup de choses, je pense que j'aurais davantage apprécié la visite si elle avait été guidée mais il existe une application qui permet d'avoir accès à des explications audio. Le mobilier et l'histoire y sont riches, c'est très intéressant !
