Workshop-museum of textile in Bolbec, organizing a guided tour to see a beautiful collection of indians and the famous handkerchief.

In the 19th century, during the boom of the textile industry, Bolbec was the "Capital of the Golden Valley". As a reminder of this flourishing period, the workshop-museum created by a team of volunteers made up of former workers in the trade reveals the entire textile chain, from the cotton bale to the handkerchief, over an area of 1,400^m2. You will see printing plates, looms, a beautiful collection of Indian women, and the famous Bolbec's handkerchief that was worn on the collar of the traditional Normandy blue blouse. Opt for the guided tour.

Closed from mid-December to mid-January. Open Tuesday through Friday from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. And 3rd Saturday and 1st Sunday of the month. Free until 10 years old. Adult : 5 €. Reduced rate : 2,50 €. Guided tour. Store. Family parking.

L’accueil a été détestable si je puisse dire puisque inexistant. Dommage puisque les machines semblaient être den état fonctionnement tout du moins en état pour des démonstrations. Pour dire nous avons fait la visite commençant par la fin. Par contre au moment de sortir les 3 jeunes tenant le musée sont bien restés vigilants pour nous demander la contribution de 12E pour 3 personnes. Rapport qualité prix proche du zéro. Dommage. Un seul conseil passer votre chemin.

Musée très intéressant à découvrir sur BOLBEC ( difficile à trouver quand on n'est pas du coin, dommage pour les touristes). L'accueil est chaleureux et très professionnel. Certains métiers à tisser fonctionnent devant nous. C'est "magique" !
Ils vendent le célèbre mouchoir de Bolbec, des serviettes, des nappes etc... et le tissu
vichy rendu célèbre par Brigitte Bardot. Bref, une visite incontournable.

Très belle reconstitution des usines de textiles de Bolbec qui ont façonné l'histoire de la ville. Visite très intéressante par des bénévoles passionnés avec de beaux métiers à tisser. Visite incontournable.
