THE FOREST OF LYONS

The Forêt de Lyons is said to be a true masterpiece of nature, one of the largest and most beautiful beech forests in the entire region. Look up and see these giants rise from the earth, often over 30 m high. Around the foliage, a number of historic remains enhance the walk, including the châteaux of Vascoeuil and Fleury-la-Forêt, and the not-to-be-missed Mortemer Abbey. The Tourist Office website allows you to download circuits ranging from 3 to 20 km in length, including the Four-à-Chaux trail and the Gros Chêne loop.
