Accommodation with PRM-accessible rooms and excellent breakfasts in Giverny.
On the heights of Giverny, between plains and forests, take a break in this sumptuous residence, built with 18th-century materials. The 5 rooms, including one accessible to the disabled, are hushed and spacious, with decor inspired by the Age of Enlightenment. Be sure to look up in the corridors to admire the many paintings of Giverny. The breakfast is a reflection of the place: delicate, generous and of excellent quality.

Sitting just outside of the main town area in Giverny, near Monet's House & Garden, you could just as easily see the impressionist having made this farmhouse his home. Surrounded by fields, orchards, and a nice pool (instead of ponds :), it is a step into rustic luxury. Don't go expecting wall to wall white marble bathrooms, but instead go for the end to end log beams, wide plank floors, and local antiques and books covering the walls and floors. Go for the rope swing in the orchard out back. Taste the homemade cider from those same trees. Go for the welcoming wag of Cezanne's tail or Racine's purr.
And most importantly, go for the brilliant hospitality of Valerie, Marie, and family. Everything pre-arrival from initial reservation, to directions, and last minute updates (storm impacted the gate so they made sure we knew how to adapt when we arrived), was very clear. And upon arrival, the homemade cider and glass of Rose with some local dried mushrooms served in the orchard made us feel immediately relaxed. They also served a lovely breakfast as well. It's a great place to take a breath and enjoy the beauty of the landscape and company around you.
Au revoir for now,
E
