Museum adjoining Notre-Dame Cathedral, housing a superb archaeological collection.
Adjacent to Notre-Dame Cathedral, the museum was inaugurated in 1873, following excavations in the village of Vieil-Évreux. The establishment thus created was a forerunner in archaeological research as a scientific discipline and in heritage protection. Today, the museum's superb archaeological collection is made up of objects found during the excavation campaigns undertaken throughout the 19th century!

Après la cathédrale (très belle) direction le musée juste à côté, gratuit. Rien d'extraordinaire pour qui a l'habitude des grands musées mais pour le prix, on ne va pas chipoter. Pour les amoureux d'art et d'histoire en général et/ou d'histoire de la région. Des escaliers à grimper !

Après avoir visité la cathédrale, un tour par le musée de la ville s'impose. Il présente une riche collection d'objets en rapport avec l'histoire de la région, qui aide à comprendre la culture et le patrimoine normand. Et l'entrée est gratuite pour tous !
Museum located in the town centre right next to the cathedral. Many objects from Evreux, especially the objects from the Middle Ages discovered most during constructions.
