This abbey church was founded in the 10th century by Richard the Fearless, Duke of Normandy, on the presumed burial site of Saint Taurin, the first evangelizing bishop of Évreux. Altered and renovated several times, the building combines different architectural styles and boasts a superb Gothic choir, a fine collection of stained glass from the 15th to the 20th centuries, some remarkable statues from the 15th and 16th centuries, as well as elements of Romanesque architecture.
