Whether you come to eat or drink, you’ll find a friendly atmosphere at Mad Cats at all hours! Since Élizabeth Yvon and her daughter Alexandra took over the reins of the former Mac Leod, the emphasis is on quality products. The pub buys directly from small producers in the area in a logic of eco-responsible consumption. On the menu: pepper burger, chicken and curry sauce, home-made tenders, Norman croque... Not forgetting the roast camembert, which is a big hit with the most demanding gourmets!

Fantastic Spot in Évreux – A Must-Visit!
Mad Cats is an absolute gem! The burgers are amazing – great flavour, cooked perfectly, and the portion sizes are generous without being over the top. What really stood out, though, is how many vegan and vegetarian options they offer. It’s incredibly rare to find such variety, especially in this area, and they’ve really nailed it.
The restaurant itself has so much character – quirky, cosy, and full of charm. You feel like you’re somewhere special the moment you walk in. The restroom was spotless too, which is unfortunately something you can’t say for many places these days – definitely appreciated!
The staff were genuinely lovely – super friendly and welcoming. We speak very limited French but they didn’t make us feel awkward at all, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
We arrived a bit early and decided to take a walk around the park just outside the restaurant. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a little stroll before or after your meal. Be sure to check out the greenhouse with the parrots – such a fun little bonus!
