SQUARE DU SOUVENIR
A cherished place of remembrance for the people of Belfort, this square along the Savoureuse river welcomes national ceremonies every year in front of the Monument aux Morts. Created at the end of 1920 on the town's former fairground, and despite the sober, symmetrical layout of its paths, it's a peaceful place where children like to gather after school. Symbolically, there are two American red oaks, the so-called "Remembrance Trees", planted on November 11, 1927, as well as more than 80 trees, including 3 of note. A book box is also available.
