The Maison Mauresque is one of the curiosities of the city of Bourg-sur-Gironde. Surprising and picturesque by its architecture, it dates from the 19th century on the Dordogne side and from the 18th century on the street side. What a surprise to discover this oriental style building in the middle of the small town of Gironde! The villa would be the work of a man living in the colonies, who, back in Bourg, would have decided to modify the facade of his house to perpetuate his dream of exoticism.
