The merchants built bourgeois mansions and vast warehouses containing the wine barrels. The Lainé warehouses house the CAPC, the museum of contemporary art. Rue Notre-Dame is home to numerous antique, decoration and ready-to-wear stores. The market place is a real place of life with many restaurants.
