This gothic basilica built at the end of the 14th century, is located in the heart of the Saint-Michel district

At the heart of the Saint-Michel district is a Gothic basilica built at the end of the 14th century. Fourteen side chapels line its sides and represent the different guilds that financed its construction (roofers, carpenters, mercers, sailors, salt measurers, merchants, pilgrims from Santiago de Compostela). The monument has a crypt - a must-see. The basilica is registered on the list of the world inheritance by the UNESCO under the title of the Ways of Santiago de Compostela, just like Saint-Seurin and Saint-André.

édifice imposant, avec une belle architecture. LA flèche est impressionnante. On peut y monter ce qui permet d'avoir une vue sur les alentours, mais difficile de connaître les horaires

La Basilique St Michel est un édifice imposant, avec une belle architecture. Son clocher est particulier, car il se trouve à côté de l'église et non intégré dedans. On peut y monter ce qui permet d'avoir une vue sur les alentours, même si on n'est pas réellement au sommet.

Le clocher de la basilique est séparé du bâtiment principal ce qui est vraiment très original. N’hésitez pas à visiter l'intérieur qui est tout aussi intéressant. La basilique est située au milieu d'une place très vivante avec de nombreux cafés qui servent de jolis points de vue pour la contempler !
