Bordeaux's imposing Saint-André Cathedral stands proudly on Place Pey Berland. This 11th-century Gothic cathedral is one of the city's most sumptuous monuments. It has a rich history, from its construction and subsequent fire in the 18th century, to its restoration a century later. Now a Unesco World Heritage Site, it is one of the major stops on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, along with two other Bordeaux landmarks: the Basilica of Saint-Michel and the Basilica of Saint-Seurin.

Cathédrale très impressionnante, très jolie et très touristiques. Il y a un monde fou a venir la voir et ça vaut le déplacement. Il y a de magnifique voute gothique et sculpture incroyable.

Edifice chargé d'histoire. De très belles voutes gothiques, sculptures et vitraux magnifiques. En cours de restauration, ce qui une fois fini, lui redonnera son cachet d'antan.

Le portail royal de la cathédrale saint André est en fin de restauration.C'est la pièce majeure du gothique en Bordelais.Depuis 1250 il affiche un Jugement dernier remarquable qui se prolonge dans les voussures par une série d'anges,de martyrs et de prophètes .Sur les côtés, les dix apôtres grandeur nature accueillent le visiteur.
