The synagogue in Bordeaux dates back to 1882. It was restored in 1956. It has been classified as a historic monument since 1998 and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Mikveh was built in 2010. The cultural centre of 300 m 2 is located in 2016 behind the synagogue. The community, mainly composed of Jews from North Africa, has about 6 000 souls.
