All you have to do is fill in a consultation form at the reception desk of the Maison de l'avocat; the same applies to legal aid. The State covers part of the costs, in proportion to your income. Applications can be made at the tribunal de grande instance, in town halls, with a lawyer or directly on service-public.fr. The Maison de l'avocat also offers a mediation service and assistance to businesses in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
