General bookshops Bordeaux

France's first independent bookshop is from Bordeaux! Founded in 1886, it's no longer a household name, recognizable by its beautiful blue storefronts. Over an area of 2,500 m², you'll find almost 180,000 references in all fields. Since 2016, the venue has expanded with the creation of Station Ausone, a new 300-seat space at 8 rue de la Vieille Tour, which hosts conferences, exhibitions, book signings and concerts. Nearly 350 events are organized every year and broadcast live on the website.

The main shopping street in Bordeaux, rue Sainte-Catherine is home to the FNAC. CDs, DVDs, new technologies and books! You'll find all the latest literary releases, personal development books, travel guides, not to mention a nice selection of comics and graphic novels. On the ground floor, take advantage of a complete stationery section to prepare for the new school year! At FNAC, you can also find a wide range of digital equipment and appliances, as well as a ticket office for your show tickets.
