LE MABLY
Restaurant with terrace of the chef Pascal Chollet in Bordeaux offering good value for money.
Le Mably is both a chic and relaxed place. The decor of this Parisian-style brewery is very elegant with woody colours, a few touches of Art Nouveau and mirror effects. On sunny days, you can enjoy the terrace on the pretty Place du Chapelet, at the foot of the Notre-Dame church. The daily menu (three starters, three main courses and three desserts), which comes from the market, is served even on Saturdays and is really good value for money - if you don't take the dishes in addition and there is one in three each time. The quantities are far from being gargantuan but the flavours are present on the plate. We start with a mellow celery with very refreshing apples, then a stir-fry of veal with citrus fruits and fragrant rice to continue and serve a rhubarb clafoutis with caramel sauce. The menu is that of a good brewery with the inventive and refined suggestions of chef Pascal Chollet such as green asparagus, flowing egg yolk, fresh herbs and county chips or calf sweetbreads with langoustines, potato gratin
