I couldn't resist their "Confit de Canard"-the classic duck leg cooked in its own fat until crisp on the outside, meltingly tender on the inside. It's the signature dish here, and for good reason: Chez Dupont has been a neighborhood favorite since the 1990s, serving authentic Southwest-French comfort food in a warm, traditional bistro setting

Paired it with a glass of Château Roquetaillade la Grange 2016 from Graves — a well-rounded Bordeaux with berry fruit and earthy warmth that danced beautifully with the duck's richness.

Tout est délicieux, entrée plat dessert. Par contre, j’étais avec ma copine vétérinaire, on nous a vendu deux soles, alors que c’était des limandes soles, ils n’ont rien voulu savoir, bien sûr, ce n’est pas le même prix, pas le même goût non plus, la limande sole a une toute petite bouche et à deux yeux sur la même face, on l’a reconnais facilement.
Je viens de téléphoner pour leur dire que c’était pas cool, mais ils sont de mauvaise fois et persiste à me dire que c’est de la sole.
C’est vraiment dommage, car j’aimais bien aller dans ce restaurant, la côte de bœuf est excellente et tout est frais

Un peu au hasard, une belle découverte : chez Dupont. En extérieur sur le trottoir qui longe la rue Notre Dame, une ambiance « marais » en plein cœur de Bordeaux. Très bonne morue de ligne cuisson basse température ????. En dessert je recommande la gaufre de grand-mère, un délice (pas trop sucrée). Bref, allez-y !
