Chai nº8 seems to be popular with the Instagram nomads looking for affordable versions of French cuisine’s greatest hits. Most of what we had was decent but unremarkable. The soupe à l’oignon was a big disappointment: chicken bouillon (probably), non-caramelized onions, scant cheese, barely warm.
