Opening time and information on CHÂTEAU DE RAYNE VIGNEAU
Vignobles et Découvertes. Low season: open Monday to Friday, 10am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 6pm. High season: daily 10am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 6pm. Winner of Best Of Wine Tourism 2016 and 2018. Delivery available (online store). Discovery" tours (with or without reservation) from €17.50; free for children. Unusual" tours (with reservation) from €35/adult and €10/child. Workshops from €70/adult.

Since 2015, the Château de Rayne Vigneau has been part of the Trésor du Patrimoine group
The vineyard extends over 84 hectares in a single block on a vast hilltop overlooking the Sauternes region. Its subsoil of sandy gravel, sitting on a clay base, reveals astonishing riches, agates, sapphires, rock crystals, heralding a precious wine
The vines, 30 years old on average, are divided between Semillon (74%), Sauvignon Blanc (24%), which brings the note of freshness typical of the Château's wines, and Muscadelle (2%)

One unique thing about this vineyard was the artwork scattered around the barrels and in the tasting room by @artistetiphaniecanada! On top of the art work, the owner apparently really likes these stuffed animals... just take a look at the last photo. ????
Finally, to our tasting. We didn't have any snacks with this, but look how many glasses we used ???? Our guide was so knowledgeable about the wines and helped us learn so much about the process!
