Louis Pasteur was born here on December 27, 1822. Located at 43 rue Pasteur, this former family home housed the tannery of Joseph, the father of the Jura's most famous scientist. Listed as a historic monument since 1923, a visit to the house will enable you to discover Pasteur's scientific work. Microbiologist, chemist and physicist, Louis was no less of an artist. As you explore the 8 rooms, you'll be immersed in the life and work of this internationally renowned scientist. Temporary exhibitions are held on a regular basis.

Interesting place. Didn’t visit the museum but the house is surely worth seeing considering the beautiful immediate surroundings. Can be reached from the channel or from the inner part of town.

Très intéressant. Nous y avons passé 1 heure. Il est possible de télécharger l’audio guide sur votre téléphone portable. Des fiches explicatives sont disponibles en plusieurs langues et pour les enfants. Des chaises sont présentes dans les locaux pour le public. L’étage comporte une exposition temporaire.
