In the picturesque Tanneurs district, this museum is located in the house where Louis Pasteur took his first steps. It offers a vision of his scientific work which revolutionized medical, surgical, food and industrial practices still applied today. The first museum dedicated to Pasteur in France, the house where he was born offers display cases, models... It also evokes family and personal memories, his discoveries and his disciples. Not forgetting the tannery where his father Jean-Joseph Pasteur worked as a tanner from 1816 to 1825.

Open all year round by reservation for groups. Low season: open every day and holidays from 2pm to 6pm. High season: every day and holidays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm. Low season : from February to April, October and November. High season : from May to September. Free until 10 years old. Adult : 5,50 €. Children (from 10 to 18 years old) : 3,50 €. Coupled ticket Dole - Arbois : 10 €. Pass'musées" rate. Children welcome. Animations. Guided or free visit.
