During the wintering period of the cranes, guided tours are offered by passionate ornithologists.

It is one of the largest protected birds in Europe. With a noble and graceful bearing, with a wingspan of 2 meters for a weight of 4 to 5 kg, the cranes have a longevity of 25 years. They breed in northern Europe, then begin their migration in early autumn over France, including the Landes de Gascogne.
