Underground river of Baume, where the waterfall of the Dard flows over limestone tuff, taking on the appearance of steps.

At the foot of the impressive reculée of Baume, the waterfall of the Dard is an unavoidable step. This Dard is an underground river that flows out in front of the caves. It sometimes fills to overflowing in autumn, freezes in places during the coldest winters and is surrounded by a fine mist of droplets when the weather changes. The water flows over limestone tuff which, after deposition, gives the appearance of staircases. Several waterfalls follow. A walk on these steep slopes allows you to discover the different basins that feed it.

Une très belle balade
Balade de Baume les messieurs à travers la forêt pour arriver à cette magnifique cascade. Beau spectacle. Visite faite en mai, après un weekend de pluie, donc débit d’eau très important, on en prend plein les yeux !

J'y suis allé en aout , donc , le débit de la cascade était ridicule.
Cascades a contempler au printemps lorsque le débit de l'eau est important au si l'été est pluvieux.
Grotte juste a coté ainsi que le restauranr des grottes

Easy stroll with children when you leave the foot of baume-les-messieurs. These waterfalls are more impressive after a good rain and easily allow you to enjoy an afternoon snack in front of (small wall to be placed). However, you will not stay long lengthily.
