"Once upon a time, there was a wheelwright by the name of Jean Lacoste who, in 1779, bought a few sunny acres along the Chemin Royal which ran from the Port of Barsac to Captieux: the bourdieu de La Clotte "... Marie-Pierre Lacoste-Duchesne will tell you the rest of the story in person. Representing the 17th generation, this oenologist and agricultural engineer, who was crowned "Best hope for wine 2003", cultivates her vines organically with her draught horse. The museum is astonishing.
