Contemporary hotel with terrace located in the heart of the fishermen's district of the Autumn city of Arcachon.
In the heart of the typical "fishermen's quarter" of the autumn city, a new hotel was born and inaugurated in September. Its name is the Grand Atlantic Hotel, a charming and colorful contemporary hotel designed by the Bordeaux architect Philippe Tilliet. A white cocoon enhanced by paintings and frescoes of multicolored oyster huts in the breakfast room and in the lobby, in the 55 rooms giant canvases representing deep blue waves envelop you for sweet dreams. This oceanic decoration is the work of local painter Thierry Derigon. The establishment has a magnificent rooftop terrace with a solarium overlooking the basin and the winter city. To relax, a space with whirlpool, sauna and sports equipment is available. To visit the city and its surroundings, the hotel offers bike rental only in summer. The staff of the Grand Atlantic Hotel will welcome you with a broad smile. Concerned about your well-being, they are always available to meet your needs.

I booked a last minute, quick trip to Arcachon because I was missing the beach. This place is such a great value, I found a low price and booked. Because of the price, I was nervous, but I had no need to be. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I think I was upgraded to a slightly larger room so size wasn’t an issue for me.
I was on the ground floor so a bit nervous about facing the parking lot, the curtains were a bit thin. But they have blackout blinds so I closed those and felt so much better.
Staff was all very friendly and they spoke English (I can speak some French but it was nice). The rooftop view is pretty.
The location - it’s about 7-10 minutes from the train station on foot, and the walk is pleasant. It’s in a very quiet residential area with beautiful houses.
I don’t mind walking, and found it easy to get to the beach - about 10 minutes or so, there’s a cute little boardwalk. Maybe 15 minutes or so to the city center, the pier, even more restaurants, etc.
I didn’t try the breakfast to comment on it.

Je vous présente nos excuses si votre accueil ne fût pas à la hauteur de vos attentes. Cependant il est important de noter que notre établissement étant réellement complet en direct tout comme sur les autres plateformes le jour de votre passage il n'y avait pas "une non envie de travailler" de la part de mes collaborateurs mais simplement une incapacité à vous accueillir en dernière minute n'ayant plus de disponibilité pour ce faire comme beaucoup d'hôtel d'Arcachon en cette saison estivale.
Nous serons très heureux de vous accueillir sur une autre date.

Les chambres sont agréables, le mobilier est récent, et sont suffisamment spacieuse.
Le petit déjeuner est copieux et les produits sont bons.
Je recommande cet hôtel, je regrette seulement qu'il n'ait pas une vue sur le port ou la plage.
