Restaurant with a terrace overlooking the Arcachon basin

The owners of this bistro are extremely friendly. Not only do they give excellent advice on wine, they also talk passionately about their dishes. Home-made terrine of poultry livers with port wine, "couteaux de la mer à la plancha", duck breast from the Autrefoie farm... To catch a glimpse of the Arcachon Basin and its port at the end of the street, you can enjoy the terrace on the pedestrian street. Fancy some sun, but it's sold out? There's a patio inside! For locals, the Bistrot du Port is the local canteen (lunchtime menu at 21 euros).

Délicieux à tout point de vue. À chaque fois que nous arrivons à Arcachon-Aiguillon, nous dînons au bistrot du port : c'est notre pèlerinage. Tout est parfait et l'équipe est sympa.

Great place with amazing food and service. Place was full of locals and is away from the tourist area restaurants. We had oysters and lamb which were both delicious. Good price and amazing service from genuinely kind waiters. Made our last night in France a memorable one. Thanks folks
