Located 20 km south of Bastia, Poretta airport is a place of remembrance. Indeed, it was from here that writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry took off on his last air mission on July 31, 1944. Haute-Corse's main airport provides reliable connections between Corsica, the main regional cities and European capitals. Many low-cost airlines use the airport.A regular shuttle bus runs between the airport and Bastia town center and back. The journey takes around 25 min.
